The robust tube is made from weight-saving magnesium alloy and can withstand some tough treatment. The extremely high-quality coating on the lenses and prisms provides a clear, high-contrast image. The high light transmission ensures the perfect observing experience, even at high magnifications.

With its 2-component ED optics, this spotting scope provides an image of a quality which is otherwise only seen in scopes costing over 2,000 Euros. ED stands here for 'extra low dispersion' (i.e. a very low refractive index), with the second lens element being manufactured from FPL 53 glass made in Ohara (Japan). The use of this glass means that the optics are able to provide a true colour image, without any irritating colour fringing, right up to the edge of the field of view.

The 84 HD is nitrogen-filled and 100% waterproof, making internal fogging of glass surfaces impossible. The quick-release plate fits onto all Manfrotto tripods, and onto other tripods using the extra adapter - which employs a standard ¼ inch thread or 3/8 inch thread connection.

Extensive range of accessories
Quite unusual among spotting scopes, this model can accept the standard 1.25 inch eyepieces, including high-end eyepieces, which are normally only used with astronomical telescopes. A rather inexpensive 15mm eyepiece, for example, will provide you with a crystal-clear, astonishingly bright, wide angle image, at 32x magnification, that will thrill you. Eyepieces are quickly and easily attached to the scope via a simple screw-locking clamp ring, so quickly changing an eyepiece outside under changing weather conditions is no problem.

Focusing is by means of a large central ring on the body of the scope which can be easily adjusted, even in winter with gloves on. A steplessly adjustable 20-60x zoom eyepiece comes included with this spotting scope. Please bear in mind that you would have to pay separately for the eyepiece with all the other well-known manufacturers. Not so with Omegon! The eyepiece has an eyecup and is hence also suitable for spectacle wearers. An ever-ready case ('stay on case') is also included in the price.

The Omegon ED 20-60x84mm HD spotting scope is now available with a new camera adapter with its own optics. Simply connect your SLR camera with the T2 thread via a separate T-ring for your camera. You then have an equivalent focal length of 700mm with the camera connected.
